Healing Care for Doctors: How to Grow Your Practice Online

If you're a doctor in Romania reading this, here's the short version: Healing Care is built so that a single doctor with no marketing budget can compete with a large clinic for visibility online. This post walks through how, in practical terms, you turn a Healing Care profile into a steady source of new patients.

This is not a sales pitch — it's a tactical guide based on what we see working across hundreds of doctor profiles on the platform.

The two ways Healing Care brings you patients

Pick your specialty and subspecialties carefully

If you're a cardiologist who actually focuses on arrhythmias, list both cardiology and the arrhythmia subspecialty. Patients searching "arrhythmia specialist" will find you; patients searching "cardiologist" will too. Listing only the broader category leaves visibility on the table.

Write a real bio

Most doctor bios online are auto-generated and bland. Yours doesn't have to be. Write 200–300 words covering:

• Your specialty and subspecialty focus.
• The kinds of patients and conditions you commonly see.
• Your approach to consultations (how you communicate, what to expect from a first visit).
• Your training and where you practice.
• Languages you consult in.

Patients read this. So does Google. A bio with specific terms ("arrhythmia," "atrial fibrillation," "ablation follow-up") ranks better than a generic one.

Pick the right cities

If you consult in Bucharest and Cluj, list both. Each city/specialty combination is a separate search query patients use. The Healing Care site already creates city+specialty pages — you appear on the relevant ones automatically.

Add a real photo

A clear, current photo with good lighting in clinic clothes works best. The best photos show the doctor's face from the chest up, looking at the camera, with a neutral background. This isn't vanity — patients book doctors whose faces they trust, and a fuzzy holiday photo doesn't help.

Set realistic prices and availability

Prices that sit too far below market send the wrong signal; too far above without justification reduces bookings. Look at 5–10 doctors in your specialty and city, and price within that band unless you have specific reasons to deviate.

For availability, sync at least 5–10 hours per week to the platform. Profiles with no available slots in the next 14 days drop in the rankings — patients want to book, not get on a waitlist.

Why Q&A is the fastest growth channel

Here's the part most doctors miss. The single biggest predictor of booking volume on Healing Care, after profile completeness, is whether the doctor answers questions in the medical Q&A.

We've watched the data closely. Doctors who answer 5–10 questions in their first month get 3–4x the bookings of doctors who do not. Doctors who write 30+ answers in their first three months become some of the most-booked specialists in their city.

Why this works:

1. Q&A answers are public and indexed by Google. A well-written answer ranks for the search "is this symptom serious?" — and the patient who lands there sees your profile, your name, and a one-click link to book.
2. Patients trust doctors they've already heard explain something. Reading a doctor's calm, structured answer to a worried question is the modern equivalent of being recommended by a friend.
3. Q&A is leverage on time. A 5-minute answer is read by hundreds of patients over years. A 30-minute consultation helps one. Doctors who treat the Q&A as compounding investment, not lost time, build the biggest practices.

What good answers look like

Patients (and Google) reward specific over generic. A good answer:

• Reframes the question if needed ("It sounds like you're asking whether this needs urgent investigation").
• Gives a clear next step ("This is worth seeing a cardiologist about within the next week, but not an emergency").
• Explains why, not just what.
• Is honest about what cannot be answered without examining the patient.

Avoid answers that are basically "see a doctor." That's true for almost every question, and it's what every other platform says. Be more useful than that.

Reviews matter — and you can ask for them

Reviews drive both Healing Care ranking and patient confidence. The simple rule: ask every satisfied patient to leave a review. The Healing Care app sends a review prompt automatically after appointments, but the prompt rate is much higher when the doctor mentions it at the end of the consultation: "If you found this helpful, a quick review on Healing Care really helps."

Reviews from real, completed appointments cannot be faked, removed, or bought. The doctors with the most reviews are the doctors who consistently ask for them.

How payments work

Healing Care handles patient payments via Stripe. The patient pays at booking; the platform takes a percentage and pays you the rest on a recurring schedule. You get a clean dashboard of completed appointments, refunds (if any), and earnings.
